Nursery
Our Nursery is under 10 acres, but with a wide variety of plants, we can offer many alternatives to meet your needs. Our nursery is inspected annually by the Illinois Department of Agriculture ensuring pest-free plant stock. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality plants, trees and shrubs, which we guarantee for one year. Buying from a grower offers many advantages: Our plants are grown specifically for our climate.
Shade Trees
We can offer but are not limited to: Maple, Oaks and Ash Trees. Certain trees do better in moist areas, others are known for their fall colors, all of these features need to be considered.
Flowering Crab Trees
These beautiful trees come in several different leaf colors from dark green to dark crimson red. Some of the trees produce very small fruit (size of a small grape), in red or yellow, which is ideal for attracting birds in all the seasons. There are other trees that do not produce any fruit at all, for example the Spring Snow Flowering Crab. In the Spring Flowering Crab trees flower in abundance of colors, from white, pinks and reds.
Evergreens
We can offer a wide variety of Evergreens. Our best seller is a Mission Arborvatea, this is the best looking of the Arborvatea, a dense tree, multiples which can be used as a hedge for privacy, or it can stand alone as a focal point. Certain evergreens do better in moist conditions, and all give the excellent winter color. Winter color is not limited to Evergreens, other shrubs keep bright red berries through the winter.
Plants
We use plants with different purposes, certain plants do better in the shade, Honeysuckle and Currants. Other plants are more colorful, and will produce flowers all through the summer, fall until frost.
